The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced a call for Muslims nationwide to sight the crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah on the evening of Tuesday, May 27, 2025 (29 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446 AH). Those who observe the crescent—either with the naked eye or through binoculars—are urged to report immediately to the nearest court with their testimony, according to a report by the Saudi Press Agency.
Community Participation Encouraged
The court also encouraged individuals capable of moon sighting to join regional committees formed for this purpose. This collective effort aims to support the Muslim community in accurately determining the start of Dhul Hijjah.
UAE Astronomical Centre Confirms Crescent Moon Date

It may also be seen with the naked eye in many regions of the Americas, as per a WAM report.
